Reasonable times to be awake and out of bed on a weekday, er, well, any day:
Getting up for work/that PhD that is supposed to define my life; 8 am is the 6 am, haven’t you heard? Early bird gets the worm, so why be the early worm?
Getting up to go mountaineering: Did he say 4 am? Well, now, to leave at 4 am I better get up at 3 am so I can make some tea, and some coffee in a thermos, and have some breakfast, and make sure my fully packed bag is still fully packed… Yea, yea, lets get up at 3 am
Reasonable ideas about exercising in the rain
Its early evening, you are wearing waterproof boots, a raincoat, and have an umbrella (literally three whole days ago): Okay, I should totally take the long stroll home, yep, up and through the woods, good recovery workout. Oh God its raining, and only 10°C. Eugh, I will just think really hard about exercising, while reading my book, on my couch, with a blanket.
Forecast for the weekend summit plans is light rain, light snow, and 30 km/hr winds: Ah, that is not, well, SOO bad. Actually, wait that is cool, I can wear that balaclava I got for ice climbing and haven’t worn, and maybe I should bring those ski goggles. I mean, no thunderstorms, so, its not dangerous, it just adds a little more -venture- to that adventure. And honestly, 0 is really the perfect temperature for July mountaineering, you can keep all your layers on and not sweat!
30 francs for brunch: Seriously. 30 francs. For some coffee, orange juice, a croissant and some cheese, are you insane?
35 francs for the gym entrance fee: I actually don’t pay this anymore, I got an year membership, but I gladly paid this to get pumped after two hours of climbing.
Yep, I think I officially have a problem 😀
